As a Quality Inspector at BLK BOX, you will be responsible for carrying out inspection activities across components and assemblies at all stages of the manufacturing process. You will ensure products fully conform to quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.
Working as part of a cross-functional team, you will document and communicate inspection results, support corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement across the factory.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Visual & Dimensional Inspections: Inspect mechanical components and assemblies using engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection checklists.
- Verify Specification Compliance: Ensure all assemblies meet defined quality, engineering, and customer standards.
- Document Inspection Results: Accurately complete inspection reports, checklists, and non-conformance records.
- Identify & Report Defects: Detect, document, and communicate non-conformities to production supervisors and quality management.
- Assembly & Rework Support: Carry out minor assembly or rework activities to correct defects in line with approved procedures.
- Root Cause Analysis Support: Assist with investigations into quality issues to help identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve product quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives aimed at reducing defects and improving manufacturing processes.
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a quality or inspection role.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining productivity.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Clear and effective communicator.
Desirable Criteria
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001.
- Internal or external auditing experience.
- Welding inspection experience.
- Powder coating and/or painting inspection experience.
