Barnsley Football Club is seeking an Academy Secretary to play a vital role in the administration and operation of our Academy programme. This is an exciting opportunity to join a professional football environment and contribute to the development pathway of young players.
As a key member of the Academy team, you will coordinate a wide range of administrative, compliance and logistical activities, supporting everything from player registrations and fixtures to audits, safeguarding processes and Academy operations. Working closely with the Academy Manager, Club Secretary, Designated Safeguarding Officer and coaching staff, you will be the central point of contact for players, parents, governing bodies and external stakeholders.
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Whether arranging fixtures, maintaining compliance with EFL and FA regulations, supporting Academy staffing processes or ensuring smooth operational delivery, you'll play an important part in helping the Academy succeed both on and off the pitch.
This role would suit an experienced administrator who enjoys working collaboratively, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality support. Experience within professional sport or an Academy setting would be advantageous but is not essential.
