Aston Villa Football Club is looking for Grounds Persons to join its award-winning Pitch Grounds Team at Bodymoor Heath Training Ground and Villa Park.
The Role
The team, which has won Premier League Grounds Team of the Season more than once, cares for the club’s playing and training pitches to elite standards and supports major redevelopment work across all club sites.
These are varied, hands-on and active roles, including working outside in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out grass cutting, marking out, re-seeding, aerating, fertilising and verti-cutting in line with health and safety guidelines
- Keep internal records accurate and up to date
- Maintain and safely store tools and equipment
- Support the wider Estates team when required
About You
- An NVQ Diploma (Level 2) in Horticulture/Sports Turf or equivalent (significant equivalent experience will also be considered)
- Able to work as part of a team and independently, using your initiative
- Calm under pressure, able to meet deadlines, with excellent attention to detail
- PA1/PA2 and PA6A certificates are desirable
Key Details
- Location: Bodymoor Heath Training Ground and Villa Park, Birmingham
- Contract: Permanent, full time (40 hours per week, including matchdays, evenings and weekends)
- Salary: £32,000 per annum
