Aston Villa’s Category One Boys Academy is looking for a Foundation Phase Coach to work with its U10 age group.
The Role
You will lead the Academy development programme for the U10s, overseeing coaching, matchday management and player development, and supporting other Foundation Phase and Pre-Academy age groups when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality training sessions and matches in line with the Academy Technical Programme and Performance Plan
- Design and implement individual development plans for each player
- Coordinate player development programmes and manage trialist experiences
- Keep performance records up to date on the Academy’s player management systems
- Build strong relationships with players and parents through regular feedback
- Contribute to domestic and international tournaments and tours, including leading teams overseas
About You
- A UEFA B Licence
- The FA Youth Award (or working towards it)
- Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF)
- Demonstrable experience coaching Foundation Phase players and delivering elite football programmes
- Strong people management and organisation skills
- Able to work evenings and weekends; a full UK driving licence is ideal
