Multi Sports Camp Manager
Salary: £15.17 per hour
Hours: 8:30am–4:30pm OR 9:30am–5:30pm (venue dependent)
Travel Expenses: 30p per mile after the first 35 miles per day (car share uplift available)

About Multi Sport Camps

Multi Sport Camps are designed for active children aged 5–14 who want a varied and enjoyable school holiday experience. Camps include a mix of sports, games, activities, arts and crafts, challenges and team based events. Children can attend via single day bookings, 3 day passes or full week options, including extended hours—making them a flexible choice for families.

Role Overview: Multi Sport Camp Coaching Manager

As a Multi Sport Camp Coaching Manager, you will lead the delivery of the Multi Sport Camp and ensure a safe, engaging and high quality experience for every participant. You will manage the day to day running of the site, lead your team of coaches, deliver sessions and maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, organisation and communication.
You will be the main point of contact for parents, staff, venue teams and Head Office, ensuring that each day runs smoothly and reflects the “Activate Way”.

Key Responsibilities

Pre Camp

• Complete Activate Camps training.
• Complete all onboarding tasks accurately and on time.
• Understand the full timetable and curriculum.
• Create the camp timetable and group lists.
• Introduce yourself to all coaches via WhatsApp.

During Camp

• Conduct ID checks for all staff on arrival.
• Represent Activate Camps professionally in full uniform.
• Lead camp set up and delegate tasks using manager preparation documents.
• Oversee the registration process.
• Lead and oversee Extra Time Club delivery.
• Ensure appropriate supervision during lunch and breaks.
• Lead a group of around 10–15 children.
• Deliver and oversee a range of sports, games, crafts and activity sessions.
• Ensure all coaches deliver activities in line with the Multi Sport Camp curriculum.
• Support and develop coaches through observation and feedback.
• Lead on pastoral, injury and safeguarding matters.
• Maintain the safety and wellbeing of all children across the camp.
• Ensure all required paperwork is completed (registers, incident forms, checks, hazard spotting).
• Communicate confidently and professionally with parents.
• Liaise with Head Office as the main on site contact.
• Lead the Super Star of the Day ceremony daily.
• Maintain a clean, safe camp environment at all times.
• React to and report hazards or incidents promptly.
• Check all equipment and complete a first day inventory.
• Lead or support Team Challenge Activities and implement the camp points system.
• Engage with all groups during the Activate Games.

Post Camp

• Pack away equipment safely and send a photo to Head Office.

• Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted.
• Return registers to Head Office.
• Lead a daily camp staff debrief.
• Ensure all coaches are prepared for the next day.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Strong safeguarding understanding.
• Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety.
• Passion for working with children.
• Level 1 (or above) coaching qualification OR equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of arts and crafts activities.
• Teaching or coaching experience.
• Strong communication skills, including with parents.

Desirable

• Previous experience on a Multi Activity or Multi Sport camp.
• Experience in a similar supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience managing a team of staff.
