We have an exciting opportunity for a Safeguarding Officer to join our team, reporting into the Director of People and Culture.

Yorkshire County Cricket Club (YCCC) is looking for a flexible, dynamic individual who is committed to promoting safeguarding across Yorkshire Cricket. This is an excellent opportunity to help drive and shape a forward-looking safeguarding function working with a highly experienced and committed Board.

The role will influence and lead safeguarding operations within the county club and will work closely with the safeguarding officer working across the Yorkshire County Board and Cricket Foundation.

We are seeking candidates with the following experience and skills;

  • Professional experience of safeguarding gained through relevant undertaking and management of casework e.g. police, probation work, social work, education, and other sporting bodies.
  • Understanding of the relevant legislation and government guidance.
  • Experience of building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to challenge poor practice and effect change.
  • Experience of writing and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
