Job purpose

To be responsible for the monitoring, implementation and maintenance of the Health, Safety & Security arrangements across all business activities in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements, to enable all activities to take place in a safe and controlled environment.

Key responsibilities

  • To provide a visible and proactive H&S presence in all areas
  • To provide competent Health and Safety advice and support across the club
  • To encourage and promote a positive H&S culture and to assist with consultation and engagement requirements
  • To investigate H&S incidents, prepare reports and advise on potential corrective actions
  • To carry out risk assessments and propose additional controls for any hazards identified
  • Carry out H&S audits across all departments to help drive continuous improvement
  • Delivery of H&S training
  • Assist with the planning, preparation and implementation of events

General responsibilities

  • Compliance with Club policies
  • Compliance with the Club’s health and safety procedures
  • Compliance with the Club’s safeguarding policies
  • To promote the Club’s values
  • To work consistently to embed equality & diversity into the Club
  • To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected
  • To maintain professional conduct at all times

Safeguarding

  • This role carries a specific safeguarding responsibility. This means that the post-holder is required to apply all relevant policies and uphold the Club’s commitment to safeguarding vulnerable people.
