Job purpose
To be responsible for the monitoring, implementation and maintenance of the Health, Safety & Security arrangements across all business activities in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements, to enable all activities to take place in a safe and controlled environment.
Key responsibilities
- To provide a visible and proactive H&S presence in all areas
- To provide competent Health and Safety advice and support across the club
- To encourage and promote a positive H&S culture and to assist with consultation and engagement requirements
- To investigate H&S incidents, prepare reports and advise on potential corrective actions
- To carry out risk assessments and propose additional controls for any hazards identified
- Carry out H&S audits across all departments to help drive continuous improvement
- Delivery of H&S training
- Assist with the planning, preparation and implementation of events
General responsibilities
- Compliance with Club policies
- Compliance with the Club’s health and safety procedures
- Compliance with the Club’s safeguarding policies
- To promote the Club’s values
- To work consistently to embed equality & diversity into the Club
- To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected
- To maintain professional conduct at all times
Safeguarding
- This role carries a specific safeguarding responsibility. This means that the post-holder is required to apply all relevant policies and uphold the Club’s commitment to safeguarding vulnerable people.
