Description

Western District Rugby Football Club in Canberra is seeking applicants for the role of our men’s strength and conditioning coach. The Wests S & C coach is a paid part-time role.

Role Requirements

  • An independent and self-motivated individual to ensure success of the program
  • Minimum level 1 S & C accreditation
  • Knowledge and understanding of rugby union
  • Plan and implement Strength and Conditioning programs for the top men’s squads
  • Working with club physiotherapists/sports doctors to manage injuries & rehabilitation
  • Strength and Conditioning Testing in accordance with Wests Head Coach

Working Hours - the Strength and Conditioning coach would need to be available for the following periods:

  • Monday Night Gym – 5.30-7pm (mid Oct to mid September)
  • Tuesday Night Training (Feb to mid September) 6.15-7pm
  • Wednesday Night Gym – 5.30-7pm (mid Oct to early April)
  • Thursday Night Training (Feb to early April) 6.15pm-7pm
  • Saturday Game days – 1st grade

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Fitness
  • Registered Exercise / Fitness Professional
  • Level 1 Strength & Conditioning Coach

Desirable Criteria

  • Human Movement / Coaching / Exercise / Sports Science Degree
