Role Summary

To provide support to the WRU Heritage Officer in all work relating to the WRU Archive Project.

Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities

  • Update, log, and catalogue new items of memorabilia received into the WRU’s collection in accordance with the set procedures
  • Photograph and upload items of memorabilia to the catalogue system and online displays systems in line with the WRU collections portal
  • Assist with the displaying of such items from the WRU’s collection within the Principality Stadium or elsewhere, when requested
  • Maintain records of memorabilia from the WRU’s collection that are displayed, or loaned to external organisations and/or stakeholders
  • Assist the WRU Heritage Officer with enquires on the history of Welsh Rugby in a timely and appropriate manor
  • Carry out duties in support of the WRU Group Strategic Mission, Purpose, and Values


Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Strong knowledge of the history of Welsh Rugby
  • Excellent IT skills, specifically Microsoft package
  • Experience of Photography
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance
  • Ability to communicate and work through the medium of Welsh is desirable
