Job Title: Club Governance Manager (National)
Salary: £34,900 - £38,500
Location: Based at Wales Golf Offices (Newport) with some home working
Permanent Contract: Average 35 hours per week. The post holder may be required to work additional hours at peak times during the year to meet the needs of Wales Golf

The Club Governance Manager is a national level role covering the whole of Wales. The manager will provide efficient and effective business and governance support to golf clubs across Wales.

Reporting to the Head of Participation, the post holder is responsible for the following duties: Main purpose of job

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of relevant strategies and operational plans associated with golf club governance
  • Lead transformation and modernisation of Wales Golf’s club business services
  • Provide leadership on matters of club governance to our affiliated members, including but not limited to aspects of compliance, organisational structures, strategic planning etc.
  • Assist and support clubs in running more effectively as businesses and adopt good governance practices

Specific duties and key responsibilities

  • Develop a robust suite of resources and digital solutions to support the governance and business needs of clubs
  • Ensure the club resources hub is developed and kept updated and well communicated
  • Develop and deliver national and regional education roadshows, workshops and webinars to clubs and volunteers
  • Develop and utilise the club health checker tool
