The UK Sports Institute and UK Athletics have an exciting opportunity for a full time, Lead Physiotherapist to work with their World Class Programme.
A snapshot of the role…
This is an exciting role working for UK Athletics on the World Class Programmes (WCP) with both Olympic and Paralympic athletes across multiple disciplines including Sprints, Jumps, and Endurance. The role will be based out of the National Performance Institute (NPI) in Loughborough and will support athletes and coaches as part of an experienced multi-disciplinary team including S&C, Biomechanics, and Physiology amongst others.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Therapy and Medicine to oversee and manage therapy across the Olympic, Paralympic, and Pathway Programme, ensuring the therapy service delivers a strategic, and collaborative approach to optimise athlete availability for preparation and world-leading performance.
The successful candidate will provide world leading therapy support to athletes on the WCP at the NPI and to identified remote athletes as required. There will be a requirement to work at domestic and international camps and competitions supporting both Olympic and Paralympic athletes, in the region of 12 weeks / year.
