Partnership Advisor – Performance and People Department

About the role

Throughout the UK Sport 2021-31 strategic plan there is the deliberate reference to working with, and investing in, partners in pursuit of creating the greatest decade of extraordinary sporting moments.

This role will take the lead on reviewing and evolving our partner investments including who our partners are, the investment approach and assurance of any partner investments.

Working across a number of internal and external stakeholders this role will explore and deliver on the opportunities to maximise the value and impact of high performance partnership working both now and into the future.

This role could be for you. We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record of partnership working to support our performance investment strategy. We are seeking someone comfortable with uncertainty, change and challenge to take the brief of partnership investments and have the expertise and experience to be able to grip the role to make it their own. Building relationships, insights and ideas this role will create collaborations, iterations and innovations that place UK Sport partnership investments as an exemplar of good practice.

Role Requirements

• Proven track record of leading strategic reviews with a view to evaluating impact/ROI
• Demonstrable people skills, including influencing and negotiation, with a proven track record of building positive relationships which withstand challenges
• Experience of undertaking economic analysis of policy, projects and programmes in order to inform decision making and policy development.
• Strong network of relationships across the High Performance System partners, particularly Elite Training Centre (ETC) hosts
• Proven track record of working with external partners to secure effective project delivery (including significant capital projects)
• An ability to critically analyse both data and processes for the purposes of business improvement.
• Experience of delivering design projects within a business setting and identifying key recommendations.
• Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams to optimise development and performance.
• A demonstrable understanding of the national, regional and local economic, environmental and social conditions of the UK.
