UK Athletics is the governing body for the sport of athletics in the United Kingdom. It is responsible for overseeing the governance of athletics events in the UK as well as athletes, their development, and athletics officials.
UK Athletics is seeking to appoint an Applied Biomechanist to support the delivery and development of applied biomechanics services for World Class Programme athletes at British Athletics. The role will involve working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to enhance the ability to understand and improve performance.
The successful candidate will be required to assist the senior biomechanics consultant in the delivery and development of biomechanics at the British Athletics High Performance Centre in Birmingham, and at other training environments as required, with the aim of ensuring coaches and athletes are able to make informed choices to maximise training and performance.
Support at domestic and international competitions and training camps will also be required.
Hours of Work: Such hours as necessary to carry out your duties. This will involve a minimum of 35 hours per week and may include working outside normal office hours at evenings and weekends and on Public Holidays.
