Job Description and Primary Job Purpose

The High Performance Administrator is a key role in supporting the High Performance Operations Manager in delivering administrative services to the HP Team and supporting the Performance Director and Triathlon Ireland staff in building a team capable of competing at the highest levels of the sport worldwide.

A key requirement of this role is high-level administration and organisational skills.

Reporting and Working Relationships

Reports directly to the High Performance Operations Manager

Establish close working relationships with:

  • HP Operations Manager, HP Coaching Team, and other TI staff.
  • The relevant personnel within World Triathlon, Europe Triathlon, Olympic Federation of Ireland, Paralympics Ireland and where required Sport Ireland Institute, Sport Institute Northern Ireland, Sport Ireland, Sport Northern Ireland.

Job Responsibilities within High Performance

  • Provide administrative support to High Performance Operations Manager and the HP Coaches to ensure smooth operation of each area’s Programme.
  • Coordination, logistics and communications related to elite competition and training camps.
  • Assistance with talent transfer and talent identification days.
  • Manage World Triathlon race entry system for athletes and coaches and maintain results management.
  • Support administration of TI Kit for HP athletes, including inventory database for competition kit and leisure apparel.
  • Manage HP Insurance claims with the relevant insurance company and HP claimant.
  • Support HP Operations Manager with HP Selection processes, Athlete Agreements and Pre-Participation Examination forms (PPE).

This list is not to be regarded as exclusive or exhaustive, as there may be other reasonable duties and requirements associated with the post, which Triathlon Ireland may call upon the post-holder to perform from time to time.

The post is a part-time role based at our offices at Sport Ireland Campus, Dublin 15. Hybrid working will be supported.

Key Skills and Experience Required

Qualification and Experience

  • Relevant experience in office administration, preferably in a sports setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, monitoring, maintaining and implementing information records, policies and procedures.
  • Experience with travel and hospitality bookings and budget management.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and written skills and excellent organisational skills.
  • Experience in Google Enterprise products, web and IT resources.
  • Can identify, allocate and monitor resources and expenditure for effective and efficient use.
  • Can comply with organisational and legislative requirements.
  • Competence in a self-directed work environment.

  • Ability to balance conflicting demands and tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate commitment, drive and initiative in identifying ideas to achieve program and organisational outcomes.
  • Displays personal responsibility
