What you will be doing

  • Reporting to the Food & Drink Operations Manager, the successful candidate will support the team in delivering the Food & Drink operation in the build up to The Championships.

  • On a day to day basis, you’ll be attending meetings with colleagues and partners. You’ll also need to capture minutes and coordinate key stakeholders against agreed deadlines. • Multi-tasking and juggling priorities are important skills, and you should be able to manage your own time effectively to create the best outcomes. Longevity is in our DNA and you’ll be expected to work at a sustainable pace year-round. Whilst most of that activity takes place at our main site, we do have some F&D operations located elsewhere that you’ll be involved with.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships at varying levels of seniority is key.
  • Environmental sustainability is important to us. We are committed to becoming carbon neutral and your opinion and actions in the F&D team will form a part of us achieving that goal.
  • Ideally having worked in either the F&D industry previously, and having a passion for food and drink and hospitality you will have knowledge of F&D industry trends and our best in class competitors.
  • Working with people outside of our organisation is important and you’ll work with our chosen F&D service provider to deliver a guest focussed experience to internal and external user groups, all within the confines of our existing service level agreement.
  • A keen eye for detail is required for this role and you’ll illustrate this through the creation of presentations, reviewing menus across all of our guest segments through proof-reading and agreeing final details.

About You

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write succinct, accurate reports and make high level presentations
  • Strong organisational, project and time management skills
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding and passion about detail and delivery of quality experiences
  • Passionate, curious, foodie, proactive and can-do attitude
  • Ideally previous experience within the Food & Drink industry

  • The AELTC recognises that in the F&D arena, guests compare not only to other events but to the high street and beyond. For many, a day at The Championships is a bucket list experience.
  • Food & Drink team’s role is to ensure all Wimbledon guests enjoy an outstanding Food & Drink experience, which proudly recognises and celebrates the Club’s tradition and values whilst reflecting modern dining developments.
