The role will support across a number of operational responsibilities aimed at ensuring the smooth functioning of Premier League matches. Duties will include reviewing Match Delegate reports, pinpointing key issues post-match, and providing valuable support for operational and regulatory investigations.

The successful candidate will support the management of Match Delegate groups and delivering insightful statistics, analysis, and assessments related to on-field football matters. Additionally, the role will be actively involved in facilitating pre- and post-meeting processes for the Key Match Incident Panel

The position will be required to liaise with internal departments such as Communications, Broadcast, Business Intelligence, and Football Development on various cross-team projects and initiatives.

Furthermore, the role will provide invaluable support for a range of Football Operations activities, this may involve assisting in the preparation and delivery of Football Operations events and meetings, as well as contributing to the review and development of essential documents like competition guidance, manuals, and handbooks.

Where possible, you will attend the office or site visits in line with our company policy. All staff liaise closely with their line manager to manage their time appropriately and according to their work and team requirements.

The role

  • Review and moderation of Match Delegate reports, and identification of key issues following each Premier League match
  • Support the review and investigation of operational and football regulatory issues
  • Support the administration and management of the Match Delegate group as required
  • Produce statistics, analysis and assessment of on-field football matters purposes as required
  • Support the pre- and post- meeting process of the PL Key Match Incident Panel
  • Attend Premier League Match Centre and lead the delivery of match day operations as required
  • Work alongside internal departments (including but not limited to Communications, Broadcast, Business Intelligence and Football Development) on cross-team projects and other Business initiatives as required
  • Support working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Provide general support to Football Operations activities, projects and initiatives
  • Support the preparation and delivery of Football Operations events and meetings
  • Provide support for the review and development of Football Operations documents, including competition guidance, manuals and handbooks

Requirements for the role

  • Relevant work experience in another similar position
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Strong organisational skills –ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects
  • First class interpersonal skills – the ability to work within a team while being proactive
  • Advanced Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Able to prioritise a heavy workload and work to tight deadlines
  • Able to grasp instructions / requirements quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well under pressure and use own initiative
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information and exercise discretion
