The Systems and Infrastructure Manager will ensure the maintenance, management, and development of a robust and scalable technology infrastructure. By providing innovative and reliable technology solutions, this role will ensure excellence in delivery across performance, participation, and major events. Ensuring the good stewardship of IT assets and systems access through strong IT security and governance controls is an integral part of the role.
Job Specification
Key accountabilities
- Responsible for ensuring a highly available resilient network including the specification and implementation of all network equipment, switches storage and backup, routers and firewalls. Defining the hosting arrangements for the core services, realising innovative, cost effective solutions in the market place and provisioning scalable and future-proof environments.
- Defining the overall technology infrastructure security strategy, including user PCs, servers, email, web, external network communications, virus and malware protection, password policies, integration methodology
- Ensuring compliance with information governance, regulatory and mandatory requirements such as PCI-DSS and GDPR
Technology
- Successfully manage multiple technology projects with customers and key stakeholders
- Maintain and develop enterprise grade alerting and monitoring systems
- Be responsible for all areas of IT infrastructure; Data Centre environments, Networks, Security, Hardware, Solutions Design, Backups, Data Storage, Virtualisation, Telephony infrastructure, Collaboration tools.

Previous Experience
Enterprise level IT infrastructure and networks, including hosted and cloud environments. | Essential |

Detailed practical use of Microsoft products and architecture, (e.g. Azure and Azure HCI Stack environments). | Essential |

In depth understanding of networking architecture, in particular with the Cisco Meraki ecosystem. | Essential |
