About The Role
The LTA is the National Governing Body for tennis in Great Britain, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, and is responsible for developing and promoting the sport while safeguarding the integrity of tennis. This is a great opportunity to be part of a team focused on developing the substantial technology ecosystem of British Tennis. The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the day to day operations and maintenance of the existing technology infrastructure, along with providing key expertise in future infrastructure developments.
The role is for a Wintel focused Infrastructure Engineer with good supporting experience in Networking and Cloud based technologies. Excellent troubleshooting skills will be required. By providing innovative and reliable technology solutions, this role will ensure excellence in delivery across performance, participation, and major events.
Key Accountabilities
Technology
- Responsible for managing a highly available resilient network consisting of key components including switches, routers, firewalls, servers, storage solutions and backups.
- Manage hosting Infrastructure for core services, realising innovative, cost effective solutions in the market place and provisioning scalable and future-proof environments.
- Provide technical support and innovative expertise to the IT Operations Manager in all Infrastructure matters.
Security
- Implement the IT security strategy for: user PCs; servers; email; web; external network communications; virus and malware protection.
- Provide key input in developing the IT security strategy for cloud based services as they are on-boarded.
- Ensure compliance with information governance, regulatory and mandatory requirements including PCI-DSS and GDPR.
Customer Services
- Work alongside 1st and 2nd Line service desk support analysts to provide excellent Technical Support to colleagues.
- Responsible for the successful setup of Technology at all LTA Tournaments and Major Events providing technical assurance to Tournament Directors and support staff.
- Ensure delivery of excellent customer service within defined KPIs at all times to all stakeholders.
