Templeogue College Swim Pool is a vibrant, thriving and busy swimming pool & leisure facility based in Dublin 6W. The facility serves the needs of the local community and a broad range of schools, groups and general customers in the surrounding areas.

With a strong focus on and reputation for Aquatic education and teaching, the facility prides itself on the quality and consistency of the teaching product, while providing access to leisure swimming, fitness and training for a large customer base weekly.

This is an excellent role for someone with a demonstrated track record of operational experience in the leisure sector, strong customer focused skills, staff management and a commitment to best-inclass teaching within an aquatics environment. Ideally with a strong interest in their own progress and with the ability to impact on an already thriving business. The successful candidate will play a pillar role in the development of the business and growth through some exciting times ahead.

Working closely with the Manager, you will have responsibility for and input in:

Staffing and operations

  • Day to Day planning, management and oversight of site operations including rostering, training and development of a large staff team
  • Ensures standards of safety, cleanliness and maintenance of all areas of the building in line with company policy and expectations.
  • Ensures plantroom and technical aspects of water treatment, chemistry and maintenance are delivered on an ongoing basis

Teaching & Training

  • You’ll be an experienced Teacher, capable of delivering Swim teaching and coaching to the highest standard across the full range of lessons from beginners to masters competitors.
  • You’ll help to define & manage teaching standards within the operations of the business.
  • You’ll ensure the organisation and management of training for staff.

Commercial & Marketing

  • Ongoing development and management of the product mix & service offering to ensure maximum use of site.
  • Strong commercial ability with appreciation of use of databases.
  • You will have direct involvement, management and delivery of customer contact and direct marketing campaigns and strategies to assist in maximising the business.

Additional Experience & Skills

  • Experience (min 3 years) working in a busy facility in the Leisure sector necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills are essential
  • An interest in Sports Coaching, Strength & Conditioning (with associated quals) and the development of Health & Fitness for Athletes and the general public is preferred.
