What will you be doing?

You’ll be working in a team of 6 and be responsible for providing care and support to all Academy players, with key responsibility for the Youth and Foundation Phase players at Southampton Football Club. You will support the Player Care Officer with the Host Family and player accommodation provision, recruitment of new host families, and create and maintain all associated paperwork.

You will be based at the elite Staplewood Training Ground located in Marchwood, Southampton. Just a 15-minute drive from the city centre and don’t worry there’s free parking!

If you like being organised, ticking off your ‘to-do list’, problem solving and love meeting people then you’re the person we are looking for. You’re able to communicate confidently to all stakeholders, and you’re flexible on your working schedule as this role may need your assistance out of hours. Previous experience in administration and own transportation is required.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience of working within an administrative role

Desirable Qualifications (including certifications):

  • Degree level qualification in Psychology or equivalent in experience.

Essential Skills:

  • IT literate (Competent in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work on evenings and weekends when required.
  • Self motivated.
  • Trustworthy and discrete.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Used to handling confidential information.
  • Ability to hold challenging conversations.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Awareness of child protection policies and procedures.
  • Full UK Driving License
