What is the role?

This role will be creating exceptional video content to be both informative and engaging, focused on the club’s internal communications to staff and external campaigns to showcase what a great place Southampton FC is to work.

The Videographer will be tasked with covering the internal workings of Southampton FC, showcasing what it’s like to work for the Club and highlighting the many different roles that support behind the scenes, as well as producing Learning & Development training videos and colleague news pieces. The role will be documenting our story by capturing behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, training sessions and wider content.

The content captured by the Videographer will be crucial for communications and engagement for staff and the role will play an important part in growing visual content for the intranet, website, training platforms and social media.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who can lead on the production of video material in relation to colleague communications, such as staff features, interviews, and behind-the-scenes films, working closely and proactively with various team members from the initial planning stage and working concepts through to delivery.

You will have good networking skills to build relationships with co-workers and clients to develop creative ideas and produce high quality content and will be flexible to working evenings and weekends when needed.

The competencies which are required include:

Essential Experience:

  • A portfolio of producing and editing high quality video content.
  • An understanding of internal communications.

Desirable Experience:

  • Some past experience of filming with an internal company focus.

Essential Qualifications (including certifications):

  • A degree in Video Production or similar, or equivalent experience.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience using Sony camcorders, or similar.
  • Experience in Final Cut Pro, Premier Pro or similar editing software.
  • Ability to translate video briefs and work with clients to outline a clear production plan.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Positive approach with a hardworking ethic.
