Salary: £28k plus 6% pension

Scottish Swimming is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Finance Officer to join our Finance Team. This exciting opportunity is open to candidates seeking a full-time role, or to two individuals interested in job-sharing — with the role potentially split between Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Working alongside the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our finance function. You’ll be based at our offices within the University of Stirling Sports and become part of a dynamic, supportive, and forward-thinking team.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who thrives in a busy finance environment, is detail-oriented, and brings both innovation and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You’ll be an effective communicator, a team player, and someone with the drive to support continuous improvement in a small but high-performing finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Proficient in using cloud-based financial systems such as Xero or Sage
- Oversee Accounts Payable: process, verify, and reconcile payments and expenses in line with company policies
- Manage Accounts Receivable: process income and invoices accurately and on time
- Maintain accurate ledgers by verifying and posting transactions
- Ensure financial compliance through adherence to internal accounting controls
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to support credit control
- Generate nominal reports for internal staff and aquatic sports
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in finance systems and processes
