Job Purpose
Our Grounds team is responsible for ensuring facilities and BT Murrayfield estate are maintained and presented in a pristine condition for all our visitors to enjoy during normal operations and events.
Key accountabilities
- Complete cleaning, maintenance and preparation at BT Murrayfield Stadium: day to day this includes:
- Servicing waste and recycling areas
- Moving assets around stadium areas
- Operating power washers at both ground level and height
- Legionella checks
- Fire checks
- Operating road sweeper
- Barrier management
- Preparation of the estate for events: -
- Distribution of equipment to event locations
- Answering radio requests
- Post event clear up and return to normal operations
- Work with the team to complete the planned preparation and maintenance schedule across the BT Murrayfield.
- Complete accurate record keeping and compliance with all relevant legislation.

How the Facilities Team works
The core days are Monday to Friday. When matches and events are on, we work over and above, ensuring Scottish Rugby delivers world class events. Our priority is ensuring the BT Murrayfield estate is clean, safe, whilst operational for both colleagues, contractors, visitors and fans. We have the joy of working both indoors and outdoors, which is great during the summer months, with more layers necessary for the winter months. Don’t worry though, full PPE is provided.
Due to the operational nature of the role, we are based on site.
