Job Purpose

To create an ambitious and exciting new future strategy for Scottish Rugby, Edinburgh Rugby, and
Glasgow Warriors retail, licensing and merchandising. Implement comprehensive plans to deliver
against agreed revenue/margin targets for Scottish Rugby and work closely with the commercial leads
of both Pro teams.

Key Accountabilities

Macron

• Develop and manage retail strategy with Macron to maximise kit exposure and revenue
• Manage relationship and liaise closely with the Macron account management team
• Ensure SLAs maintained at all times
• Work collaboratively with other Scottish Rugby stakeholders to grow the Macron account including enhanced D2C sales channels
• Develop annual plans including stretch targets and deliver against these
• Develop Scotland kit designs in line with brand strategy, ensuring critical paths met for seasonal kit launches, which developing additional ranges and kit drops

Retail & Licensing


• Develop a game changing licensing and merchandising strategy, to create branded products for global fan base, maximising revenue streams across Scottish Rugby and Pro teams
• Identify new brand partnership opportunities
• Liaison with all licensees to ensure all brand DNA and guidelines are adhered to
• Manage existing and new retail partners to maximise revenue, margin, and availability of Scottish Rugby apparel globally
• Utilise data analytics to gain insights to consumer behaviour, preferences and trends
• Analysis of sales, customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies that optimise consumer engagement and purchases
• Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing campaigns and impact on sales / revenue of Scottish Rugby merchandise
• Manage the Scottish Rugby brand protection programme
• Ensure all relevant licensing documentation and records are maintained in line with legal
requirements
