The Foundation has for the last 20 years worked tirelessly to support the local communities across the Hertfordshire and North London areas by changing lives through the power of sport.
We’re looking for a Project Officer to join the Saracens Foundation Rugby team. This is a role for a new project which we have acquired funding for.
Since its inception in 2000, the Saracens Foundation has worked in the surrounding areas of Hertfordshire and North London delivering more than 30 projects in these local communities where sport is used as a tool for empowering social change in behaviour to lead active, healthy and rewarding lives.
The role will report directly to the Senior Development Manager within the Rugby team.

This is a new project has been curated to help and support both the both the physical and mental well being of the refugee and asylum seeker community by introducing them to sports and physical activities. The project is funded and delivered with both internal resources and 3rd party agencies to support the group with both social and social needs.

DETAILS
The role will include leading and developing supportive relationships with young pupils by engaging them in long term mentoring by creating and a powerful curriculum compiled with workshops and discussions. As part of the workshop creation, particular focus should be paid to topics such as teamwork, leadership, resilience, personal responsibility, weapons awareness, problem solving skill, anger management, racism, stereotyping and social medica. The successful candidate will have both knowledge and experience in developing and delivering these workshops in conjunction with any of our partners, 3rd party organisation and beneficiaries from our prison projects. You will also lead the ‘fortnightly circles’ which will coincide with the workshops and where we have the ability to discuss in detail some of the personal situations relating to the workshops to provide insights as to how to resolve or address particular matters and or question the actions and behaviours within the situation.
