This role will involve leading on the delivery of our specialist Falls prevention classes in a community setting and supporting our Falls recovery team to reduce falls in a targeted population.
What will you be doing?
We’re excited to be looking for a Community Exercise Instructor to help plan, implement and develop ‘Best in Class’ exercise classes for older adults as part of Saints Foundation’s Falls Prevention programme.
You will be motivating, supporting and reassuring patients in relation to physical activity and health, whilst being considerate of and understanding barriers to change. You’ll undertake functional measurements and devise appropriate programmes of physical activity. Ensure programmes are progressive and reflective of the needs of the clients in line with health and safety standards, while creating realistic goals for patients, monitoring and evaluating their progression.
This role also helps to support the Health project team to assess and interpret clinical information regarding referred patients whilst maintaining confidentiality and data protection.
