Description

Rugby World is one of most respected brands in the sport, and as we build on the excitement of the women’s Rugby World Cup in New Zealand and head towards the 2023 Six Nations championships and Rugby World Cup in France, we are looking to add a fresh voice to our team.

What you'll be doing…

The Content Editor will be a brand asset in both our print and digital offerings. A storyteller who is as comfortable writing an in-depth feature as covering breaking news online. And being adaptable is a vital skill.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining growth of our digital editorial platform and curating our social offerings, while helping drive the print product forwards by generating top level content on the sport at all levels from grassroots to international. They will also be required to commission for both print and digital.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…

Rugby World has ambitious plans for their digital offerings and the job of Content Editor requires an attention to detail married with a sense of ambition. An understanding of online trends and evergreen growth is vital, while an interest in eCommerce opportunities is favourable. As well as:

  • Able to develop contacts within the game.
  • Rigorous standards of spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • The ability to research and plan content for a wide variety of subject areas and across print and digital platforms...
  • Ability to use InDesign as well as standard word processing and spreadsheet software packages as well as Content Management Systems and data analytics.
