For many fans of Formula One, the sport exists between lights and chequered flag on a Sunday afternoon. It begins and ends with the exploits of the drivers on the track. But this is merely the tip of the spear. The reality of modern F1 is that of a complex and intertwined operation, every part of which needs to perform near its limit if success is to be achieved. From the pit crew searching for the ultimate repeatable pit stop, to the inspiration of the designers, the application of engineers and the herculean efforts of an army of fabricators and machinists. Job Description

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to join our department within Red Bull Powertrains based onsite at our offices in Milton Keynes. The main purpose of this position is to support end-users and troubleshoot a range of issues, including Windows 10, email, network access, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, security software, and laptop/mobile hardware.

Key duties

Typical daily work activities and tasks will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Provide support to end users via onsite support, desk visits, and covering the IT Service Desk helpline
  • Be responsible for ensuring end users are kept up to date on progress by updating tickets within the IT Helpdesk ticketing system
  • Manage devices, accounts, email, and mobile device setup
  • Ensure high priority/impact incidents are resolved using exceptional care, speed and efficiency

  • Good product knowledge of outlined core technologies
  • Excellent soft and call handling skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and effective prioritisation of tasks
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach and self-discipline in order to work well either independently or within the team environment
  • Willing to learn with a positive 'can-do' attitude

Skills & Experience

  • It is essential you have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer-facing 2nd line support role
  • Proven experience installing, maintaining, and supporting hardware and software in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Systems administration using Active Directory and Group Policy management
  • Sound knowledge of basic networking principles
  • Experience using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (ConfigMgr & Intune)
