For many fans of Formula One, the sport exists between lights and chequered flag on a Sunday afternoon. It begins and ends with the exploits of the drivers on the track. Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our industry leading IT department. This role will be focused on the resolution third line support calls and faults as well as the implementation of BAU projects. This factory-based role provides the opportunity to support the trackside team and remote sites.

In this IT Infrastructure Engineer role, you will be designing and implementing various new solutions and technologies as well as supporting and developing existing physical, virtual and cloud estates. This coupled with resolution of 3rd line incidents and implementing changes as required by internal business departments.

This position requires proven hands-on experience and familiarity with many of the following technologies:

Essential:

  • Virtualization - experience with VMware vSphere platform that includes provisioning, management and performance tuning of multi-site virtual environment (certification such as VCP preferred)
  • Storage – experience with structured and unstructured storage technologies – such as NetApp, Pure, HPE Primera and Nimble
  • Server – experience in server configuration and management, predominantly Windows but also Linux OS that includes installation, troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Security – maintenance of secure infrastructure environment that includes patch management, vulnerability management, audit logging and monitoring
  • Active Directory – experience with Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy Management, DNS, DHCP and Failover Clustering

Desirable:

  • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop Service (DaaS) – experience with installation, configuration and maintenance of Citrix DaaS environment
  • Hyperconverged – experience with HPE Simplivity hyperconverged platform will be a great advantage
  • Networking – basic knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies including basic troubleshooting skills
  • Backup - Veeam Backup & Recovery and /or IBM Spectrum Protect
