About the role
The Partnerships Manager, a 12-month parental leave contract position, reports to the Head of Partnerships and will be responsible for managing and nurturing the Club’s portfolio of commercial partners, ensuring long-term value and alignment with each partner’s business and marketing objectives. This contracted role requires a driven, energetic, and approachable individual who understands how strategic partnerships support broader brand goals and is committed to building strong, collaborative relationships. Working along side the Head of Partnerships (Sales & Delivery) you’ll also work on upcoming renewal opportunities, alongside identifying opportunities to enhance partner engagement and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Partnerships and broader team in effectively managing and strengthening the Club’s commercial partnership portfolio
- Build strong relationships with partners to understand their marketing and business objectives, ensuring the Parramatta Eels continue to deliver value and alignment
- Collaborate with commercial sales on renewal and retention conversations by identifying evolving partner needs, aligning relevant Club assets, and demonstrating ongoing return on investment
- Collaborate with partners to develop strategic activation plans each season that are insight-driven and tailored to their goals
- Ability to execute season long campaigns and initiatives that align to the clubs’ and partners needs
- Live up to the values of the club and apply this across the work you deliver
- Prepare and present regular reports for partners providing tracking and insights on partnership performance against brand and business objectives, and KPIs
- Maintain accurate records of all partner activity, meetings, and communications in the commercial department’s CRM system
- Ability to collaborate with internal departments to support partner needs & goals (Marketing, Social, Merchandise, Membership & Ticketing).
Qualifications & Skills
- At least 3-4+ years’ experience in a partnerships and account management role with a strong emphasis on managing and delivering value to clients or brand partners
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead structured, insight-driven conversations with partners and internal stakeholders
- Proven ability to present ideas clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Strong commercial acumen and a consultative, relationship-focused approach to client engagement
- A passion for building and nurturing long-term partnerships that deliver shared success
- Experience working within the commercial or operational aspects of sport, sponsorship, or brand partnerships (desired, but not essential)
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field are highly regarded
- Willingness to work outside standard hours for game days and Club events, including evenings and weekends as required.
