Description

The Media Coordinator is an integral member of the NSWRU Community Team and the wider NSW Waratahs Business Operations Unit. The primary purpose of the role is to manage NSWRU’s communications and public relations functions across NSWRU, Community Rugby (incl Shute Shield) and the Super W program.

You will be responsible for the creation of media releases, stories and social media content to maximise the promotion and awareness of NSWRU activities, programs, competitions, as well as leveraging Waratahs membership and ticket sales and Waratahs Womens Super W. You will also provide advice, guidance and support to NSWRU affiliates (eg. Women, Suburban Country, Schools, Referees) as required.

The role is designed to increase the media footprint of NSWRU. Promote the wide-ranging activities that NSWRU Community rugby does to a wider audience. “They don’t know what they can’t see”

Desirable Criteria

  • Sports Marketing / PR / Communications Degree
  • HSC/VCE equivalent
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Drivers Licence
