Notts Gymnastics Academy (NGA) is looking for an organised, efficient, and motivated person to join the Business Support team. NGA is a large gymnastics club dedicated to providing first class levels of service for our substantial membership. We are looking to appoint a driven and experienced individual to complement our considerably talented team of administration staff and coaches.

Purpose of the Role

Notts Gymnastics Academy is a large club dedicated to providing first class levels of service for our substantial membership. The role of Business Support Administrator is to work in conjunction with the Business Support Manager to fulfil day-to-day business functions. The role-holder will be responsible for daily finance administration and organising the kit shop whilst promoting a high standard of business ethos within the administrative function of the Academy. An ability to work on your own initiative, and as part of a team will be essential. Some flexibility in your approach to work will be required, with a commitment to occasional evening and weekend working, to support Academy operations as and when necessary.

Overview of the role

  • To collaborate with and support the work of the Business Support Manager in ensuring the well- organised and compliant running of the Academy.
  • Responsible for financial administration & reporting.
  • Responsibility for the running of the NGA Kit shop.
  • Demonstrate strong administrative skills – supporting the business administrative functions including website management, external bookings and maintaining up to date policies & procedures documentation.
  • To contribute a positive ethos and team atmosphere in line with the NGA Values.
  • Support the work of the NGA Fundraising Committee to ensure initiatives are rolled out effectively and in a timely manner
  • To be an ambassador for NGA communicating regularly, confidently & clearly and providing a high level of customer service to all members and stakeholders

NGA is dedicated to providing first class levels of service. Some impending changes to the team, and our drive to continue to grow our Academy in terms of size of the facility, gymnastics members, depth & breadth of service offerings, means we need someone who can join our team, on a temporary 1-year basis, to support the business and administration functions of the Academy.

The role will require business acuity across various areas, with a specific focus on finance administration & processing to include month end procedures and PAYE. To complement our team and ensure we remain one of the leading gymnastics clubs in the country, we are seeking an experienced individual with a varied skill set who can contribute to a wide range of tasks and is committed to developing the levels of service we provide within the business.

You will be responsible for ensuring our three core values, Be our Best, Do the Right Thing and Happy Souls are incorporated into your daily work. The successful candidate will be organised, efficient and able to work to timescales. You will have a proven understanding of business & finance administration, be able to work on your own initiative and successfully as part of a team. Some flexibility in your approach to work will be required, with a commitment to occasional evening and weekend working, to support Academy events and late meetings.

A condition of employment is to hold British Gymnastics Membership, current safeguarding, and DBS certificates.
