The National Rugby League, formed in 1998, is the pre-eminent rugby league club competition in Australia and New Zealand. It contains some clubs from the original Sydney club rugby league competition, which had been running continuously since 1908.

The participation team connect and engage with all areas of Community rugby league to deliver a safe, enjoyable community friendly experience. The team provides a number of opportunities across schools, junior league and the volunteer network including school introductory programs and competitions, teacher support and training, volunteer education and resources as well as world class player retention programs and playing formats.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Game Development Officer to join the team servicing Townsville! As an NRL Game Development Officer you will contribute to the localised participation strategy by planning, delivering and promoting high quality participation and engagement opportunities to grow participation at all levels, grow our fan base and achieve deeper engagement and deliver community outcomes.
Although this role works within a close team, the successful applicant will need to have a high level of autonomy. The right candidate will be self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic about Rugby League. You will be passionate about making a positive difference to people's lives and growing the game of Rugby League.
