The Event Coordinator role for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team will support and facilitate the team’s internal and external first-class events which are outside of a traditional race weekend, and solely based at our headquarters in Brackley.

You will be responsible for supporting the Marketing Hospitality & Events Team on a range of hospitality, internal and external event programmes, these will include meetings from small groups to larger scale events in our Silver Arrows Lounge.

Reporting directly to the Internal Events Manager, you will be responsible for pre-event contact with partners, key stakeholders, and internal staff members to determine event requirements. This includes planning of event schedules, arrange catering using in-house and external caterers, venue set up, guest registration, AV, arranging factory tours and room management etc.

You will be required to lead events from start to finish and be the main contact on site for partners, key stakeholders and internal staff members for meetings and events. You will be required to be flexible and work with tight deadlines and requests.

The role:

As our Event Coordinator your responsibilities will include:

  • Work with the Internal Events Manager to support the planning and execution of activation and events for some of the team’s prestigious partnerships.
  • Help ensure that the specific KPIs are met and exceeded by delivering first-class marketing activity.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Marketing and Partner portfolio to understand their objectives and business challenges.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the cross functional Marketing Operations team to deliver strategically across all areas of event and hospitality, including:
    • Events at the factory; tours and Silver Arrows Lounge events
    • Summer and Christmas Parties
    • Communications activity
    • HR and EDI Events
    • Branding / Design
    • Case studies
  • Support the Partner Services team as required on the delivery of ad hoc projects and contractual rights delivery.
  • Support senior members of the Marketing Operations team on the wider aspects of event delivery.
  • Support the Marketing Operations team on the departmental administrative tasks including, rights delivery tracking, status report management, project plans, event scheduling and good financial practices.
  • Multi-task to deliver different projects to multiple stakeholders at any given time.
  • Support senior members of the Hospitality & Events team, Partner Services team, and other Marketing ops teams with department administrative operations to support the delivery or respective events.
