About the role
Reporting to the Player Wellbeing Manager, this role will work closely with a number of our junior playing groups from multicultural backgrounds, including our Under 21’s, Under 19’s and Under 17’s squads, providing welfare support in line with the NRL’s & Melbourne Storm’s wellbeing programs.
The role holds responsibility for implementing careerwise & wellbeing programs for all players across our pathway’s squads. Working closely with the NRL wellbeing staff, you will coordinate and deliver workshops across all teams whilst maintaining and providing the wellbeing database.
About you:
- Excellent relationship building and influencing skills
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs of Pasifika young people and communities, with an ability to identify issues of concern using a holistic approach.
- Experience assisting young people with career and/or wellbeing counsel would be highly regarded.
- Flexible, adaptable and proactive approach
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team
- High level of organisational & time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Strong problem solving and issue resolution skills
- Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Suite.
- Cert IV Athlete Wellbeing - Part 1 Wellbeing Fundamentals or willing to obtain
- Mental Health First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one
- Cert IV in Career Development or willing to obtain
- Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
