Our Winning Team

Our purpose is to empower better lives through football. We are proud of the role City Football Group clubs play in their localities, delivering positive economic, social and environmental impact through our operations and through programmes and activities that bring about meaningful, lasting change.

Your Impact

As a People Data & Insights Analyst, you will be a driving force in transforming how we use data to support our people and shape business decisions. You will partner with the People team and the wider business to understand and address data needs, empowering them with insights that fuel growth and innovation. By creating data-driven stories, you’ll help inform strategies that have a lasting impact on our workforce and culture. Your curiosity and adaptability will enable you to quickly learn new tools and technologies, making you an essential contributor to our evolving people strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Be the go-to expert for data-related queries, gathering insights from various stakeholders and producing reports that influence business outcomes. You’ll ensure our People data is accurate and consistent across multiple platforms, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
  • Regularly produce reports on key People metrics and KPIs, and respond to ad-hoc requests. By using tools like Power BI, you will transform complex data into clear, actionable insights that can be easily understood by non-technical stakeholders.
  • Translate data into compelling, visual stories that not only highlight trends and challenges but also inspire action. Your insights will directly contribute to business goals, driving positive change across the organisation.
  • Work closely with HR, leadership, and other teams to understand their unique data needs. You’ll be a trusted partner in providing tailored insights that enhance decision-making and foster collaboration.
  • You’ll constantly look for ways to improve our data processes, driving efficiency and enhancing the quality of our HR systems and reporting mechanisms. Your input will help us streamline how we manage and report data across the business.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up to date with the latest trends in people analytics. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring others within the People team, helping them build technical expertise and confidence in working with data.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong experience in People data, systems, and processes, with proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and validation.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data visualisation tools like Power BI (or similar).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
  • A qualification or equivalent experience in data science, analytics, or a related field, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable insights.
  • A collaborative and inclusive mindset, with strong interpersonal skills for building positive relationships across teams.
  • Experience in using data storytelling to drive business outcomes and decision-making.
  • Quick learning ability, with adaptability to new software and systems, including knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or similar tools.
  • A thorough understanding of data protection regulations and a commitment to maintaining data confidentiality.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks efficiently.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement initiatives, ideally in a customer-focused or fast-paced environment.
