As Senior Academy Operations Manager, you will ensure the Girls’ Academy operates at the highest standard, providing an exceptional environment for players, staff, and stakeholders. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Event and Fixture Management: Plan and execute all logistics for domestic and international fixtures, tournaments, and tours, working collaboratively with the Academy Manager and relevant departments.
  • World-Class Standards: Foster an environment that supports the holistic development of players, aligning all operational aspects with our goal of developing world-class talent. Manage the Academy’s operational budget effectively, ensuring value for money.
  • Policy Alignment: Work with the Academy Manager, Head of Operations, and other academy staff to implement consistent service standards across the Girls’ Academy, aligning with the policies and procedures of both MCWFC and Manchester City’s Boys’ Academy.
  • Data Management: Develop systems to capture and maintain accurate off-field data for players, ensuring this information is current and accessible.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, players, and parents, fostering trust, confidence, and collaboration.

We’re seeking a motivated and experienced professional who has:

  • Significant experience working in a football academy environment.
  • A proven track record in project, programme, and budget management.
  • Expertise in organising the operational aspects of teams or departments.
  • A strong understanding of young performers and the unique challenges of developing athletes.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the operational needs of academy players and teams.
  • An understanding of sports science, medicine disciplines, and high-performance environments.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • A willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • A full, valid UK driving licence.
