The Kit Assistant plays an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation in all areas of training, matchdays and other events by assisting with the preparation, distribution and maintenance of kit and equipment.

Supporting the kit manager and working closely with staff, players, and other support teams to ensure all equipment needs are met efficiently and professionally.

Your Impact

1. Assist in the preparation, distribution and collection of all match and training kits. Arrange printing of matchday and training kits, coordinating with external kit suppliers when needed and complying with kit suppliers needs for different training kit usage

2. Coordinate all training equipment with coaches on a daily basis. Provide on-hand assistance for any kit of equipment related issues including sizing and replacements

3. Assist with the delivery of all used kit and apparel to the laundry team on an hourly basis, ensuring the kit can be cleaned and prepared for upcoming training sessions and matches

4. Assist with the management of stock levels, ensuring items are available and ready for use, liaising with the Kit Manager regarding reordering when necessary

5. Maintaining exemplary housekeeping standards within the kit department

6. Provision of kit services in a friendly and courteous manner, building professional relationships and promoting a helpful and efficient operational service

7. Reasonable travel when and where required with the relevant teams, assisting with the transportation and logistics of kit and equipment for fixtures

What we are looking for

Essential

  • IT proficient – ability to work with computerised stock taking/recording
  • Full UK driving license with no endorsements
  • Good communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work and collaborate well in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail skills
  • Ability to self-manage and self-motivate to perform duties to best of ability
  • Strong organisational skills to ensure players and staff receive appropriate kit in a timely manner
  • Solutions-oriented when working under pressure
  • Previous experience in a customer service/client facing role

Desirable

  • Experience of working within a professional football or sporting environment
  • Flexibility to travel globally, if required
