As part of our team, you will look after a discerning membership spanning over 30 countries world-wide.
We are currently recruiting for a Greenkeeper within the Golf Course Estates Department at Loch Lomond Golf Club. Reporting directly to The Golf Course Management Team, the successful candidates will assist with all aspects of golf course management, construction, grow-in and presentation.
The successful candidate will be required to do the following:
- Deliver a world class golfing experience for members and guests.
- Must be familiar with game of golf and golf course set up and have a good working knowledge of the company’s services and procedures.
- Works on a diverse range of activities involved in turf maintenance and construction.
- Assist with drainage installation and maintenance during winter months.
- Use of tractor mounted loaders and hydraulic mowers.
- Hold site specific certificate for Telehandler operation, but not essential.
- Operates motorised equipment and vehicles used on the golf course in an efficient, safe manner.
- Basic understanding of Irrigation system.
- Basic understanding of fertiliser and pesticide programmes.
- Fertilises putting greens, tees fairways and rough.
- Grades and prepares areas for seed or turf.
- Maintains ball washers and bins.
- Maintains ditches and water hazards.
- Performs related tasks as required complies with any reasonable request by the senior management.
Applicants should:
- Have a passion for what they do
- Be motivated and possess a positive attitude.
- Hold a valid U.K. driving licence
- Eligible to live and work in the U.K
- Qualifications required:
- PA1, 2 and 6 qualifications are desirable but not essential
