About The Role

Leicester City Women’s Emerging Talent Centre (ETC) is entering its second season and we are looking to recruit staff to support the ongoing development of the programme. The first entry point to the LCWFC Academy, the ETC plays a key role in identifying and developing young footballers the Leicester City way.

The ETC is for girls aged 8-13 yeas and runs over 30 weeks, with weekly training sessions and a bespoke games programme. Our staff in the ETC create an environment where the players can develop their technical skills and inspire a love of the game.

We’re recruiting for a Physiotherapist/ Sports Therapist to join the team, whose main duties will be to provide physio/ sports therapy services to the Academy.

The successful candidate will assess, diagnose and rehabilitate injuries players sustain whilst representing the academy.

Who We’re Looking For


The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the following:

  • Experience in the delivery of injury diagnosis, treatment and prevention strategies within a sporting environment.
  • Maintaining detailed records for all activities in the department in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Following departmental injury prevention protocols through assessment, analysis, delivery, and auditing of collected data.

    Essential Requirement
  • BSc (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy or Sports Therapy.
  • Be a registered member of the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or full membership of the Society of Sports Therapy.
  • Level 4 ITMMIF
  • Holds an in-date FA Safeguarding Children Certificate or is willing to complete the FA Safeguarding Children Workshop within 1 month.
