Huntswood Golf Club is a forward thinking proprietary Club situated near Burnham and Maidenhead with good links into London.
The Club is open to all which includes a busy bar and restaurant with a mixture of members and pay & play golfers with a very active tee sheet. We are looking for a Duty Manager with a hands on approach to supervise and lead the Team including the Bar, Kitchen and Professional Shop Staff.
The Candidate should be able to inspire The Team and Lead in the absence of The General Manager.
Key Duty Manager Responsibilities:
- To assist in managing the Team in a Professional, friendly manner always keeping an eye for detail.
- Ensure the Team deliver the highest level of customer service to maximise customer sales.
- To Monitor and manage our new OBBI software to keep our high level of hygiene and cleanliness throughout The Golf Club.
- To ensure the open, during and closing shifts are covered and are willing to work shifts when required across the business
- Work closely with The General Manager to improve the processes and procedures to ensure the smooth running for staff, members and guests.
- Train and coach all team members.
- Produce and maintain the monthly Rota to cover events and functions.
- To lead by example so that other staff members can follow and work towards the highest level of service.
- Ensure Health and Safety regulations are observed and UpToDate.
- Raise with the General Manager poor performance and a plan for improvement.
- To Cover as appropriate and when needed in all areas of the business to include sickness and holiday cover.
- To learn the workings of our membership delivery and Golf Society Days.
- To assist with the social media promotions and website material.

The Candidate:
- A knowledge of golf and a golfer is desirable.
- Experience within a managerial role.
- Confident and ability to mange experienced members of the team.
- Good Communicator and time management.
- Willing to to improve through CPD.
- Dependable, self motivated and pro-active.
- Be IT literate for use of tills and admin systems.
In Return:
- Full-Time 40 hour contract (will include weekend work)
- Salary negotiable depending on experience
