Hampden Sports Clinic are looking to employ both a Physiotherapist/Senior Physiotherapist and an Advanced Physiotherapist to join their multi-disciplinary team. We welcome applicants to apply for both posts if appropriate.

Hampden Sports Clinic is based on the Southside of Glasgow in the world-renowned Hampden Park Stadium. The Clinic boasts a multi-disciplinary team offering physiotherapy, sports massage, podiatry, biomechanical analysis, MSK ultrasound, health and fitness testing and Sports Medicine services.

The Clinic has been established for over 20 years and has a loyal client base in both the sporting and general population. As well as our base in Hampden Park we have satellite clinics at both the University of Glasgow in the City’s West End and the University of Strathclyde in the heart of the city centre. We work alongside many elite sporting organisations including the Scottish FA, sportscotland Institute of Sport and Glasgow School of Sport and have an excellent client mix.

We are looking to employ both a Physiotherapist/Senior Physiotherapist and an Advanced Physiotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary team. We welcome applicants to apply for both posts if appropriate.

The posts will primarily be based at our flagship clinic in Hampden Park. The successful candidate will work alongside current team to deliver high quality service to our clients. You will be expected to manage your own patient caseload, use our PPS diary system, be able to liaise with other members of the healthcare team and organise and plan rehabilitation.

The hours of work will be 35 hours per week full time or part-time pro-rata over 4-5 days with some weekend working as required.

The position is salaried with remuneration as per the job descriptions. The successful candidate needs to be self-motivated, willing to work as part of a team of healthcare professionals, be able to work independently in our satellite clinics and be flexible in their approach to working.

To deliver and progress a first class physiotherapy service to all clients attending the Clinic. Employment will be primarily based at Hampden Sports clinic but may require to work at external sites as required.


Head of Physiotherapy, Hampden Sports Clinic, Hampden Park, Glasgow.


  • Management and delivery of physiotherapy to all clients referred to the Clinic.
  • Manage client list effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate confidential records of all interventions applicable to clients.
  • Achieve required targets of maintaining patient numbers.
  • Have a flexible attitude to hours of employment which may include weekend work.
  • Communicate/liaise with other members of a multi-disciplinary team including coach, sports science, strength and conditioning, doctors, other physiotherapists and administrative staff.
  • Take an active part in promoting the Clinic in all its activities.
  • Take an active role in social media activity to boost clinic awareness.
  • Undertake lecturing duties as required to students and assist in delivering practical teaching sessions alongside orthopaedic consultants
  • Be willing to work with other sports professional bodies within their role as a physiotherapist.
  • Undertake a programme of CPD including attendance at meetings and courses and teaching as required.
  • Work within the CSP rules of professional conduct and standards of practice.
  • Be willing to work off site as required.
  • Be aware of current research within sports injury management and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant clinical practice.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by Head of Physiotherapy.


  • Hold registration with HCPC and CSP.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A degree of flexibility regarding working hours is essential.
  • A working knowledge of medical record systems and good computer skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and work on own initiative and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Diplomacy, tact and a high standard of personal appearance are essential.
  • Ability to work within strict confidentiality guidelines.
  • Can demonstrate good planning and preparation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Must be at least 5 years qualified to apply for Senior Physiotherapist role
  • Under 5 years qualified practitioners will be employed as a Physiotherapist.
  • Occasional weekend work may be required


5 weeks plus Public Holidays


Physiotherapist £36,900 (pro rata)
Senior Physiotherapist £40,990 (pro rat) with annual review in March
