Headquartered in Carton Demesne near Maynooth County Kildare, Golf Ireland is led by a Board of 13 Volunteer Directors, supported by an Executive team and a suite of sub-committees. Four Regional Executive Committees, one in each of the Provinces of Ireland, are responsible for the delivery of local operations.

The primary functions of Golf Ireland include the administration of Championships and Inter-Club events, the administration of the World Handicap System and the Rules of Golf and Amateur Status, the delivery of a World-class High Performance Programme, contesting and hosting International Fixtures, Supporting Clubs and Growing the Game.

About the Role:


Golf Ireland are now recruiting for the role of Project Coordinator in the Ulster Regional Office.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Regional Manager to co-ordinate relevant activities.
  • Preparation of relevant materials and meetings in the Regional Office as needed.
  • To establish positive relationships with volunteers in the Regional Executive Committee and its Sub Committees.
  • Assisting in the delivery of events regionally and nationally, particularly those targeted at female golfers and players with disability.
  • Liaise with the Golf Ireland Regional Offices in Connacht, Leinster and Munster on shared objectives for the delivery of Golf Ireland’s strategy and policies at grassroots level.

Experience & Knowledge:

  • A deep and broad understanding of the golfing landscape within Ireland.

  • Is willing to be accountable and measured on performance.
  • Is able to prioritise, multi-tasking and problem-solve.
  • Has excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Will cope well with continual change and tight deadlines.
  • Is able to provide clear, informative and relevant information to the Regional Manager as required.

Terms And Conditions:

This full-time fixed-term role for three years, reporting to the Regional Manager, Ulster, will be based primarily at Golf Ireland's Ulster Regional Office in Forest Grove Business Park (Newtownbreda Road, Belfast BT 8 6AW).
