Type of Role: Management, administration and coaching
The Girls Pathway Lead is responsible for all the aspects of girls pathway cricket from regional cricket up to, and including Wales County Age Group and the Wales Senior Women; thus fulfilling an integral part of the national pathway. The role is pivotal to facilitating a strong girls cricketing pathway through inspirational leadership and excellent organisation. Creating positive cricketing experiences by establishing strong relationships across the cricketing network will be pivotal in ensuring talented girls across Wales develop a strong foundation from which they can flourish. Run a pathway that ensures Wales continue to produce players for both Western Storm Academy and The Western Storm senior team.

Essential Requirements

- Experience and proven track record of developing coaches & players
- Level 3/Advanced Coach or its equivalent with up to date First Aid, Safeguarding and ECB DBS
- A full, clean driving license
Preferred Requirements
- A sound level of cricketing knowledge and significant experience within girls cricket
- Tertiary qualification in Sports Coaching/Management or related discipline

- Passionate about player development, with good technical understanding of the W&G game
- An ability to stay committed to the organisation’s philosophies during decision making
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to think strategically, balancing short term needs against the wider picture
- A proven track record of interacting comfortably with coaches, parents, players and other key stakeholders in a variety of formal and informal settings
- Willingness to be held accountable and desire to deliver against key objectives
- Good financial management
- Good IT and digital skills including social media
Key Responsibilities
- Overall management and coordination of the girls regional and CAG programmes including fixture programming and the performance/development of representative teams
- To be responsible for the management of the Wales Senior Women team and programme
- Where appropriate provide coaching support on Women’s and Girls Pathway
- Ensure strategic alignment of the Wales pathway with the ECB Women’s and Girls Talent Development Framework so that ECB CPA requirements are met
- Recruit, develop and work closely with members of the girls coaching team across Wales to ensure technical content is aligned and delivered to a high quality
- Lead communications and feedback with players and parents throughout the year
- Work closely with stakeholders across Cricket Wales and Glamorgan CCC to ensure clarity on selection and coaching practices, as well as ensuring a smooth and regular transition of girls entering the pathway
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with players, parents and clubs
- Manage the pathway budget in accordance with both Cricket Wales & Glamorgan
- Assist the Cricket Wales & Glamorgan CCC with Coach and Club CPD & Parental Development
- Any further duties that the Head of Talent Pathway sees fit, providing that such duties are appropriate to the role
