This is an exciting opportunity to join the Board of one of the few Olympic sports as it embarks on its new strategy for the next 5 years. We are an ambitious, diverse and inclusive sport, priding itself on having gender parity, and an age demographic from as young as 5 through to 85.

England Hockey is on a journey to build on the incredible achievements of the last decade, which includes success at Olympics, Commonwealth Games and European championships as well as significant improvements in the development of grassroots hockey.

We are seeking a Member-Elected Non-Executive Director (MENED) to join the Board who can support us to deliver our strategy to grow participation in all areas of our sport. The MENED will have knowledge of and experience in the management and delivery of community engagement activity, preferably within the sport sector but not necessarily within hockey.

You will have experience of working with a wide range of different interest groups including communities and grassroots organisations.

You will have voluntary or paid experience of working in a role at club, county or area level and an understanding of the issues, challenges and opportunities faced by sport at these levels.

Previous board experience is not a necessity; however, we would be looking at how you demonstrate significant experience of operating in a leadership capacity.
