To manage the operations and administrative function of the Performance team who look after the national squads and teams, players, coaches and support staff at an amateur elite level of golf.

Working Relationships:


  • Performance Director – regular communication and meetings as necessary
  • Performance Managers, County Talent Development Manager – regular communication and meetings as necessary
  • Performance Administrators – regular communication and meetings as necessary
  • National and Regional Coaches – regular communication as required
  • National and Regional Managers and EG Selectors – communication as needed
  • Other departments as required – communication as required

  • Partners and sponsors liaise/communicate as required

Main Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and deliver the day-to-day operations and administration within the performance team working closely with the performance director, managers, county talent development manager to provide appropriate, flexible support.
  • Support the performance director and performance managers operationally for national squad coaching sessions, to make the best use of the National Academy at Woodhall Spa and future competitive venues as appropriate.
  • Manage the performance administrators, providing appropriate work programmes in line with the performance team annual delivery plan.
  • Provide the performance director with weekly updates on workflow activity and management of the performance department office.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the performance managers in the delivery of the Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) programme.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to national and regional coaches and managers, including the sport science and medicine team in association with the performance managers.
  • In collaboration with the IT team, manage and continually evolve the online systems from a performance perspective, including our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, which is used and accessed for the management of player and performance administration.
  • Work with the performance director to develop, improve and implement the processes for dealing with all key stakeholder enquiries.
  • Alongside the communications team, co-ordinate and update the England Golf website as necessary in respect of all England Golf performance data and coaching activities.
  • Co-ordinate the administration and update of the England Golf Order of Merit tables, ensuring prompt and accurate publication on the website.
  • Work with the governance team to deliver England Golf policy documents and support performance managers with safeguarding procedures for individual and squad activities.
  • Work with the human resources team on the administration of seasonal agreements, safeguarding records and personal information for all contracted coaches and volunteers.
  • Manage the supply, distribution, storage and stock control of England Golf playing kit and equipment.
  • Manage the storage of all information relating to the performance department, in line with current GDPR practices.
  • Collate and produce all relevant coaching calendars in association with the performance managers and administrators.
  • Manage the systems for handling all players funding including Individual Coaching Awards, Athlete Performance Awards and Personal Awards.
  • Manage invoices and expense claims in line with England Golf financial regulations.
  • Carry out regular review of performance systems and processes to ensure good practice, identifying and proposing changes as recognised.
  • From a managerial perspective, identify and recommend training needs in response to department work for the administration team.
  • Work with other England Golf departments on specific performance related projects as and when required.
  • Undertake performance reviews in a managerial and/or team member capacity as required.
  • On occasion, and where appropriate, be prepared to work outside normal business hours to support teams and squads with international travel.
