This is an exciting new role funded by Sport England for a 4–5-year period. As the Local Project Manager, you will be working in Tyne and Wear to manage and implement the delivery of multiple projects. In the post, you will play a fundamental role by exploring golf’s opportunity to drive participation in under-represented groups by connecting with partners and potential collaborators within the region.
Applicants will ideally live within the Tyne and Wear region.
We’re looking for someone with:
- The ability to develop strong working relationships across a wide range of potential collaborators, partners, clubs and counties within the golf eco-system
- Experience of working within local sport, physical activity or health networks
- A knowledge of the structure of national, regional and county based sport
- Experience in delivering projects or working with a focus on transformational change
- Effective relationship management skills that clubs, facilities and organisations can trust
Main Duties & Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong understanding and working relationship with the golf eco-system within the pilot area, using objectives from the project to drive engagement.
- Building a good working knowledge of the local landscape, environment and systems in which sport, physical activity and health and social objectives are delivered and consider where golf could add value.
- Support the development and manage the delivery of the implementation plan and approach within the pilot area in line with the project steering group and local insight.
- Identify, develop and foster effective and successful collaborative relationships with the golf network and partner organisations within the pilot area to drive successful implementation of plans.
