Duns Rugby Football Club are a rugby union side based in Duns in the Borders, Scotland. They are known as 'The Dingers' from the town motto "Duns Dings A" (Duns Beats All). For the 2015–16 season they will play in East Regional League Division One.
Duns Rugby Club has been at the heart of the community since we were formed in 1878, we moved location to Castle Park a few years ago, to help develop and increase playing numbers. The great facilities including main and training pitch with floodlights have enabled the club to have an established minis section, a large and increasing youth team with a developing girl’s section. Duns RFC has close relationships with two local secondary schools and already delivers in various primary schools.
In partnership with Scottish Rugby, Duns RFC seek a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual to appoint as a Youth Development Officer to maintain and develop rugby within the Berwickshire area including two local Secondary schools and various Primary, working in partnership with local schools, Local Authority and Scottish Rugby.

You will be qualified to UKCC Level 2 / Scottish Rugby’s Aspiring Coaching Programme or better and preferably have S&C qualifications. You will have previous coaching experience and good leadership, communication, and motivational skills to work proactively with players, club coaches, parents and volunteers, plus school and club officials. A full driving license is essential, a work van will be included with the position. The successful applicant will be PVG checked and will also undertake training as required for this role.
