Derby County Football Club are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our dedicated IT Department working at Pride Park Stadium and Moor Farm Training Ground assisting with the day-to-day support of the Clubs systems, computers, laptops, servers, and other IT equipment & services at the Club.

The successful candidate should have a thirst for all things technical, excellent communication skills and be comfortable talking to staff of all ages and technical abilities.

Existing experience is a bonus but not essential! All training will be provided, and you will gain invaluable skills from on the job experience with support from an apprenticeship training provider as well as our in house highly experienced IT department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1st Line technical support to all areas of the Club via Telephone, E-Mail and in person.
  • Supporting equipment including Windows PCs, servers, MacBooks, iPhones, iPads, Printers.
  • Initial troubleshooting of incidents using basic troubleshooting methods.
  • Setup & configuration of equipment.
  • Assist the team with onsite or remote projects where required.

Personal characteristics and experience:

  • A-Level, BTEC National Diploma (or equivalent) IT based qualification.
  • Experience of installing and configuring Windows Desktop, Windows & iOS/MacOS devices.
  • Experience of Networking, troubleshooting and understanding of core networking principles.
  • Experience working in a busy IT Department, with telephone, remote and ‘in person’ support would be desirable
  • Confident, Resilient and Self Motivated
  • Excellent Communications skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent Presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, target driven environment
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Work using own initiative and as part of a team

The post is full time, 35 hours per week and for a fixed term and will end on completion of the Apprenticeship Qualification, however career progression opportunities will be available for the right individual.

As an apprentice, you will be paid and entitled to National Minimum Wage, currently £4.81 per hour for the first year of your apprenticeship. Further details can be found here -
