Cycling Ireland is recruiting an Education and Programmes Officer to assist with the basic administration tasks as well as programme evaluation and development.

Cycling Ireland (CI) is the National Governing Body for cycling across the island of Ireland. Cycling is recognised as a priority sport within the National Sports Policy and is one of Ireland’s most popular sporting activities. Cycling Ireland has a membership of 26,000 people, sanctions an estimated 1000 events and manages over 200,000 event entries annually.

Administration functions of the coach education pathway and programme delivery to include:

  • Deal with enquiries via email and phone in a professional, efficient and time sensitive manner
  • Plan and coordinate education courses and programmes
  • Lead the ongoing maintenance and development of the candidate management system (CMS).
  • Provide administrative and technical support to stakeholders who utilise the online CI online services for coaching and programmes
  • Maintain Coach Developer, CI Coach and Activation Officer database
  • Maintain the library of resource materials for all education programmes, updating as necessary
  • Evaluate and develop education programmes to complement existing programmes
  • Collate and analyse evaluation data as required
  • Maintain and develop existing relationships with Local Sports Partnerships, local authorities,
    community agencies, and other stakeholders as required
  • Maintain relevant sections on the CI website, ensuring all course advertising/material is
    accurate and up to date

General information

The post will be based in Cycling Ireland’s Office, on the Sport Ireland Campus

The successful applicant must have a clean driving licence; her/his own transport and will be required to comply with Garda vetting clearance in advance of taking up the position.
